Buford Oren "B. O." Parker

Buford Oren “B. O.” Parker, age 95, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Teddy and Susie Parker.  Mr. Parker was born in Hiltonia, GA to the late Fred M. and Georgia Elizabeth Taylor Parker.  Mr. Parker was retired as a supervisor at Union Camp with over 41 years of service.  He was a member of Black Creek Holy Church of God, loved to fish and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.   Mr. Parker was happiest in life when his children and grandchildren were visiting with him.  One of his sayings was “I’m looking for you to come”.   In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mrs. Annie Elizabeth “Betty” Josey Parker, grandson Jeff, granddaughter Rissi Parker, one great granddaughter Parker Lane and son-in-law, Jimmy Kersey.

Survivors include his children, Perry and Evelyn Parker of Stockbridge, Teddy and Susie Parker of Ellabell, Cindy Kersey of Savannah, Lynn and Betty Parker of Ellabell and Chris Parker and Linda Rucker of Ellabell; brothers Frank and Jackie Parker, Richard and Kay Parker, Ray and Joyce Parker; sister-in-law Annalie Parker; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held 4-6 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Monday, September 13, 2021 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating assisted by Dr. Lawrence Butler.  Interment will follow at 12 P.M. Monday September 13, 2021 at Hillcrest Abbey West

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CURE Childhood Cancer.
