Mr. Billy Thomas Covington, 46, passed away at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro on Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016. Mr. Covington was born in Statesboro on January 14, 1970 to Jessie Thomas Covington and Phyllis Soles Covington. He was a self-employed mechanic, enjoyed anything to do with tractors, four wheelers, cars and hot rods.
He is survived by his father, Jessie Thomas Covington; mother, Phyllis Soles Covington; step-mother, Jewell Pullum; son, Robert Covington of Ellabell; daughter, Ashley Moseley and her husband James of Statesboro; life partner of 23 years, Sue Miles; brother, Randy Covington and his wife Pam of Ellabell; three sisters, Regina Covington of Augusta, Cynde Zorn of Cumming and Connie Hodges and her husband Dennis of Pembroke; step-brother, Tommy Findley of Oak Park; step-sister, Linda Way of Lyons and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 1 -2 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be private.
