Pembroke- Mr. William Allen Rumsey, age 57, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 after a brief illness. Mr. Rumsey was an excellent auto mechanic and an avid racing fan. He enjoyed reading, sports and most of all, loved his family. Mr. Rumsey was preceded in death by his father, Seth Ellicot Rumsey.
Survivor include his wife of 31 years, Sherry Hart Rumsey of Pembroke; mother, Margie June Rumsey; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Emily Rumsey of Waverly, NY; Christopher Rumsey of Waverly, NY; Adam and Megan Hart of Pembroke, Joshua Rumsey of Pembroke and William Rumsey of Pembroke; daughters and a son-in-law, Angela Rumsey of West Palm Beach, FL, Pamela and Robert Briscoe of Columbia, MO and Rachel Hart of Daisy; brothers, Seth, Arnold and Thomas Rumsey; sisters, Barbara Squires, Bonnie Hoffman, and Margie McMurtry; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 3 P.M. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
