Ellabell- Betty Jean Wilson Clark, age 84 passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Mrs. Clark was born in Ellabell on August 10, 1934 to Frank and Annie Kangeter Wilson. She was retired with over 18 years of service as a cafeteria worker for the Bryan County School System. Mrs. Clark loved to read, working word search puzzles, coloring flowers and riding back roads looking at historic homes. She was an active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Fred H. Clark; two sons, Dave and Danny Clark and sisters, Maxie Myers and Shirley Reddish.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Crowley of Ellabell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Benjamin H. “Toby” and Martha Wilson of Brooklet and Frank E. and Linda Wilson of Charleston; three grandchildren and their spouses, James Daniel “Danny” and Breanna Clark, Erica Danielle and Brandon Shuman and Jacob David Crowley; daughter-in-law, Denise Clark Buckner; two great grandchildren, Adilynn Clark and Collin Shuman and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Olive Branch Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Clint Sullens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flanders Morrison Funeral Home in memory of Mrs. Betty Clark.
