Ben "Benny"Lawrence Conley

Ellabell- Mr. Ben “Benny” Lawrence Conley, age 68, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022.  Mr. Conley was born May 22, 1954 in Savannah, GA to the late Wille C. Conley, Sr. and Doris Shuman Conley.  He was a long-time resident of Ellabell and was a machinist and fabricator.  Mr. Conley worked for Diamond Manufacturing and Aubrey Norris Machinery before establishing his own company, Industrial Machine and Fabricators.   He served as owner and operator at Industrial Machine and Fabricators for over 32 years.  Mr. Conley was a member at Ellabell United Methodist Church and was a part of the Ellabell United Methodist Men group.  He was a member of Tar City Hunting Club and loved to fish.  He was a wonderful cook and loved cook for his family and the men at Tar City Hunting Club.  He enjoyed the north Georgia mountains and loved his time at St. Augustine.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Conley was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Conley.

Survivors include his son, Keith Conley of Bloomingdale; daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Anthony Joyner of Brooklet; companion of 27 years, Clara Shearouse of Ellabell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Linda Conley of Pembroke and Barry and Pam Conley of Pembroke; three grandchildren, Morgan Joyner, Nicholas and Blair Joyner and Mercer Conley and one great granddaughter, Everleigh Joyner.

Visitation will be held 11 A.M. to noon, Friday, September 23, 2022 at First Baptist Church Pembroke

Funeral service will be noon, Friday, September 23, 2022 at First Baptist Church Pembroke with Rev. Clay Loadman officiating.

Interment will follow at Northside Cemetery.
