Barbara Jo Howard White

Mrs. Barbara Jo Howard White, age 82, passed away Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024, at Signature HealthCare of Savannah.  Mrs. White was born in Savannah to the late John Wallace Howard and Archie Lee Johnson Howard on August 23, 1941.  During her youth, she was a member of Jasper Spring Baptist Church in Garden City.  Mrs. White was retired from Circle K convenient stores where she worked as a store manager for over 26 years, retiring in 2007.  Among her many interests, she enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, reading and early on was quite a craftsman in working with ceramics.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Lee White and Robert Lee White, the father of her two sons. 

Survivors include one son, Richard N. White of Faulkville; one brother, John Wallace Howard, Jr. and his wife Delores of Pt. Wentworth;  sister-in-law, Lillie (Lil) White Williams and her husband, Wayne of Huntsville, TX and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.    Funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenny Harrelson and Reverend Dale Simmons officiating.

Burial will be held at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, immediately following the service.
