Barbara West Waters

Ellabell- Barbara West Waters, age 81 passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Mrs. Waters was born in Savannah, GA to the late Grady West and Janie Mae Saturday West. She was a clerk at Whiteway Laundry and Dry Cleaning for many years. Mrs. Barbara was a wonderful cook, enjoyed gardening and playing video games. She was also a member of the Livewire Bowling League at Victory Lanes in Savannah. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waters was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Wallace Murray Waters, two brothers, James “Buddy” West and Raymond Danny Bazemore and one grandson, Bobby Crapse.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Cindy Waters of Pembroke and Douglas James and Kelly Waters of Ellabell; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Lynn and Steve Crapse of Claxton; two brothers, William West of Kathleen, GA and Howard Eugene West of Ellabell; 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Brackeen officiating. 

Interment will be private.
