Ellabell- Arthur Jack Burnsed, Sr. age 62, died Saturday, July 26, 2014. Mr. Burnsed was retired after 26 years service with International Paper and later from Delta Metals. He loved hunting, fishing, taking care of his vegetable garden, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Mr. Burnsed was a very hard worker and was known for his meticulous nature. He would not stop working until the job was done right. Mr. Burnsed was talented with a bow and in 1983 he placed best in state in archery competition. He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Burnsed and niece, Emily Burgess
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Diane H. Burnsed of Ellabell, son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Melissa S. Burnsed of Effingham County; daughters and sons-in-law Melissa and David Shuman of Groveland, Charlene B. and Chris Brewer of Brooklet and Corey Ham of Pooler; his father and stepmother, Waldo Jack and Patricia Burnsed; brother, Robert A. Burnsed; sisterand brother-in-law, Teresa B. and Bill James of Savannah; grandchildren, Joshua and Stephanie Shuman, Brittney Shuman and Cody Spell, Brandon Shuman, Danielle Clark, Kristen Shuman, Emily Burnsed, Kayleigh Burnsed, Whitley Brewer, Mason Burnsed, and Katelyn Burnsed; great grandchildren, Brantley Shuman, Aurora Simmons, Jace Shuman and Cameron Spell; aunt and uncle, Marie and Tom Chastain and nieces and nephews, Sarah and Craig Scott, Jessica and Terry Cook,
Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Monday, July 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
