Anthony Jones

Mr. Anthony Marcel Jones, 56, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Tony was born in Savannah on September 24, 1964 to the late Franklin “Sonny” Monroe and Hazel Loraine Hodges Jones. He was employed with Edwards Interior Aerospace first as a lead for 13 years and then as a supervisor for 4 years. He enjoyed riding his mule with his father in law, singing karaoke ,cooking and decorating for Christmas, but most important to him was his wife, children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Jones and Danny Jones and stepfather Joseph Odor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 6 years, Jennifer Ann Lanier Jones; seven children, Ashley Warren, Dwayne Warren, Melony Sims (BJ) , Brandi Goldwire (Mondrell), Kristin Jones, Cody Warren and Kimy Jones (Bo Smith) ; brother, Greg Jones (Linda); three sisters, Darlene Jordan (Mike), Melanie Cooler, and Tammie Futch (Jerry); sister-in-law, Maria Jones; 11 grandchildren, Haleigh, Tanner, Jerriona, Bubba, Allen, Caleb, Jaycee, Waylon, Jerreena, Maverick , Cameron and those to come as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Flanders Powell Funeral Home on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Funeral service will follow in the Flanders Powell Chapel with Pastor John Wood and Mr. Jordan McCoy officiating.

Burial will be held at Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery.
