Annie Martin

Annie Maud Martin left this life on Friday, December 7, 2018 at The Nichols Center in Madison, MS. Services are planned for Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home in Pembroke, GA. The family will receive guests starting at 10:00 a.m. Annie will be laid to rest by her husband, Curtis "Ed" Martin at the First Baptist Church of Ellabell Cemetery in Ellabell, GA.

Mrs. Martin was born in Holmes County, Mississippi to the late Newton E. Rainey and Marguerite Rollins Rainey on November 7, 1928. Though she returned to Madison, MS in March of 2012, Ellabell, GA was her long-time home. Annie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends, singing in the church choir, serving at Vacation Bible School, and cutting the grass for the church and cemetery.

Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Curtis "Ed" Martin. She is survived by her children: Eddie Martin of GA, David Martin of GA, Tina Hasty of MS, Gina Ferreira and her husband Michael of FL, Starlet Griffis and her husband Ricky of GA, Mike Martin of GA, Teresa Narcarti and her husband Mark of GA, and Darlene Morgan of GA; her sister, Ora "Bill" Pirkle; her brother John Rainey of VA, her sister, Betty Ruth Pepe of VA; her grandchildren, Brook, Curtis, Brian, Melanie, Orie, Ashly, Amber, Mark, Amanda, Erin and Johnathan, as well as a host of great grandchildren.

Special thanks to all the wonderful sitters, caregivers, doctors, nursing staff and hospice staff who provided love and care for mom. We greatly appreciate each of you.
