Angela Carol Newman

Mrs. Angela Carol Newman, age 73, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Newman was born in Savannah to the late Clifton L. Davis and Vera Frances Culver Davis on September 15, 1950. She was the co-owner until her retirement of The Lighthouse Harbor Seafood Restaurant and a member of LifeSpring Worship Center in Bloomingdale. Mrs. Newman enjoyed cooking, was always happy, she loved everyone and was never mean to anyone. She loved spending time with her family and her blonde lab, Molly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Ashley Linch and sister, Bobby Garrett.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ashton Albert Newman; two daughters, Jennifer Steed and her husband Stan of Ellabell and Tina Dyches and her husband Eric of Savannah; brother, Clifton Davis of Pooler; sister, Shirley Sapp and her husband (James) of Guyton; seven grandchildren, Bryant, Emily, Will, Christopher, Wiley, Cody and Jacob; three great grandchildren, Kyler, Ashton and Elijah and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gravel Hill Cemetery with Pastor Julie Stanley-Mack officiating.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at LifeSpring Worship Center with Pastor Julie Stanley-Mack officiating.
